Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with The Bounce District. By making a booking, paying a deposit, or accepting delivery of our equipment, you agree to follow these terms.

We want every booking to be safe, enjoyable and stress-free. Please read these terms carefully before booking. If you have any questions, contact us before confirming your hire.

1. Booking and Payment

A booking is only confirmed once we have received the required deposit or full payment. Until payment is received, your chosen date and equipment may remain available to other customers.

The remaining balance must be paid before or on the day of hire, unless agreed otherwise in writing. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse a booking if payment has not been received.

2. Hire Period

Our standard hire period is usually up to 7 hours, unless agreed otherwise at the time of booking. Delivery and collection times may vary depending on our schedule, traffic, weather and access at the venue.

Additional hire time may be available, but this must be agreed in advance and may involve an extra charge. Equipment must be ready for collection at the agreed collection time.

3. Delivery, Setup and Collection

The Bounce District will deliver, set up and collect the equipment. The hirer must make sure there is safe and clear access to the setup area. This includes suitable parking, clear pathways and enough space for the inflatable or equipment booked.

The setup area must be clean, flat, safe and free from sharp objects, animal mess, glass, stones, branches, garden furniture, washing lines, low trees and other hazards.

We reserve the right to refuse setup if the location is unsafe, unsuitable, too small, blocked, or likely to damage the equipment.

4. Access Requirements

The hirer must tell us in advance if there are steps, narrow gates, restricted parking, long walking distances, lifts, steep slopes, difficult access or any other access issue.

If access is not suitable or has not been disclosed before delivery, we may be unable to complete the setup. Additional charges may apply where significant extra time or labour is required.

5. Outdoor Hire and Weather

Outdoor hire depends on safe weather conditions. For safety reasons, inflatables must not be used in strong wind, heavy rain, storms, thunder, lightning or any weather condition we consider unsafe.

If we believe the weather is unsafe, we may cancel, postpone, rearrange or stop the hire. This decision is made for the safety of users, guests and our equipment.

If the weather forecast is unsafe, we will contact you as early as possible to discuss your options.

6. Safety and Supervision

The hirer is responsible for making sure the equipment is supervised by a responsible adult at all times during the hire period. Children must not be left unattended.

Users must follow the safety instructions provided by The Bounce District. The hirer must make sure users are of a suitable age, size and ability for the equipment being used.

Larger and smaller children should not use the inflatable at the same time where this may create a safety risk.

7. Rules for Using Inflatables

For everyone’s safety, the following rules must be followed:

  • No shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges, sharp objects or loose items on the inflatable.
  • No food, drinks, chewing gum, sweets or lollipops on the inflatable.
  • No face paint, glitter, slime, silly string, party poppers, confetti, streamers, pens or markers near the equipment.
  • No climbing, hanging or sitting on the walls, netting or roof.
  • No somersaults, wrestling, rough play, pushing or dangerous behaviour.
  • No smoking, BBQs, candles, fire pits or flames near the equipment.
  • No pets on or near the equipment.
  • No adults on children’s inflatables unless the inflatable is specifically suitable for adult use.
  • Do not exceed the maximum number of users.
  • Do not move, adjust, switch off, unplug or interfere with the blower, anchors, mats or safety equipment.

8. Soft Play and Party Hire Items

Soft play must be used safely and supervised at all times. Soft play is best suited for babies and young children. Older children must not jump, climb heavily, throw pieces, or use the soft play in a way that may cause injury or damage.

Ball pit balls and soft play pieces must remain within the setup area. Any missing, damaged or heavily soiled items may be charged to the hirer.

9. Power Supply

For inflatables, the hirer must provide access to a safe and suitable electricity supply unless we have agreed another arrangement in writing.

The power supply must be close enough to the setup area for safe use with our equipment. Cables must not be moved, unplugged, covered, altered or tampered with during the hire period.

10. Damage, Loss or Excess Cleaning

The hirer is responsible for any damage, loss, theft, or excessive cleaning required due to misuse, negligence, staining, pets, food, drink, face paint, glitter, silly string, mud, sharp objects, or failure to follow the rules.

Charges may apply for repair, replacement, missing items, or additional cleaning. We will always try to be fair and reasonable when assessing any damage or cleaning charge.

11. Customer Cancellation

If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. Deposits may be non-refundable, but where possible we may allow you to move your booking to another available date.

Cancellations made at short notice may still be chargeable, especially where equipment has already been reserved, loaded, delivered, or where other bookings have been refused for your date.

12. Cancellation by The Bounce District

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse a booking where we believe it is unsafe or unsuitable to proceed. This includes unsafe weather, unsuitable setup area, poor access, abusive behaviour, incorrect booking details, unsafe power supply, or any situation that may put people, property or equipment at risk.

Where we cancel due to safety concerns before setup, we will discuss options such as rescheduling or refunding any payment made, depending on the situation.

13. Liability

The Bounce District takes safety seriously and will set up equipment safely, in line with our procedures and the information available to us at the time of hire.

Once the equipment has been set up and handed over, the hirer is responsible for supervising its use and making sure all safety rules are followed.

The hirer may be responsible for injury, damage or loss caused by misuse, lack of supervision, failure to follow safety instructions, or interference with the equipment.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

14. Insurance

The Bounce District holds public liability insurance. Details can be provided on request.

Our insurance does not cover misuse of equipment, lack of supervision, or failure by the hirer or guests to follow safety instructions.

15. Behaviour Towards Our Team

We aim to treat every customer with respect and kindness, and we ask that our team is treated in the same way. We reserve the right to cancel or stop a booking where there is abusive, threatening, unsafe or unreasonable behaviour.

16. Photos and Marketing

We may ask permission to take photos of our setup for marketing purposes. We will not knowingly publish close-up photos of children without appropriate permission.

Customers are welcome to tag The Bounce District on social media when sharing photos from their event.

17. Agreement

By booking with The Bounce District, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions. You also agree to share the relevant safety rules with any responsible adults supervising the equipment.
